2019 AFCON: Ola Aina speaks on being played out of position after Nigeria’s 1-0 over Guinea

Versatile Super Eagles defender, Ola Aina, has spoken about being used as a left fullback instead of his original right-back position.

Aina also admitted that moving to Torino last season has helped improve his game.

He said it is no problem with him playing on the right and left side of defence even though he is a right-footed player.

The former Chelsea star was impressive for the second game in a row as Nigeria progressed to the round of 16 of the 2019 AFCON with 1-0 win over Guinea.

Fielding questions from reporters after the game at the Alexandria Stadium, Aina said, ”Left side, right side for me it is still the same. I feel comfortable on the left just as I feel on the right.

”Of course, last season going to Italy has helped me and I thoroughly enjoyed it so I feel like I have improved.

”There is still more to improve on because I don’t feel I am the finished product yet but I am enjoying my football right now and I am enjoying this team.”
