My Weekly Devotion

I cried unto thee, O LORD:  I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living. Attend unto my cry, for I am brought very low: my spirit is overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate.

As the hart pants after the water brooks, so pants my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God:  when shall I come and appear before God? My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, where is thy God?

Enter not into judgment with thy servant:  for in thy sight shall no man living be justified. Iniquities prevail against me:  as for my transgressions, thou shalt purge them away.

In your mercy turn thou to thy manservant. May Adonai find cause to lift me out of these vagaries.

Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust:  cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.

Yet I know that praise waits for thee, O God, in Zion:  and unto thee shall the vow be performed.   O thou that hears prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.

May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Adonai.
