Liverpool have discussed a possible move for Kalidou Koulibaly with the Napoli defender’s agent, shock reports in Italy claim, in what would be a blow to Manchester United.

The Napoli defender has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in recent weeks.

Manchester United have been credited with interest in Koulibaly, 27, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer eyes a new centre-back.

However, according to Italian newspaper Il Mattino, Liverpool are thinking about making an official bid for Koulibaly.

The defender has been on Klopp’s radar for some time and Liverpool have contacted Koulibaly’s agent, they add.

Lionel Messi is the subject of a shrewd Barcelona transfer plan – but Neymar may not be joining him at the Nou Camp after all.

Spanish newspaper Marca claim that Neymar is NOT on Barcelona’s list of targets to appease Messi.

It is claimed, however, that Ajax powerhouse Matthijs de Ligt is.

Manchester City and Manchester United are eyeing a move for Atletico Madrid’s Rodri.

Spanish newspaper Marca today claimed Rodri has told Atletico Madrid he will leave the club this summer.

The holding midfielder has informed Atletico CEO Miguel Angel Gil Marin of his decision.

City, United and Bayern Munich are all tracking the 22-year-old midfielder.

Liverpool have been given the green light by Barcelona to sign Ousmane Dembele.

TeamTalk claim intermediaries have told Liverpool Dembele is available for them to sign this summer.

The 22-year-old has struggled to impress at the Nou Camp following his move from Borussia Dortmund in 2017.

Dembele netted 14 times and chipped in with nine assists last season.

Man Utd could offer Andreas Pereira to Leicester in a swap deal for Harry Maguire.

The Sun say United could loan Pereira to the Foxes in a sweetener to sign the England international.

Leicester are demanding around £90m for Maguire this summer.

However, United are unwilling to pay a record fee for the defender.

Frank Lampard will hold talks with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich about taking over at Stamford Bridge.

The Derby boss is expected to replace Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea this summer.

And The Sun say Lampard will hold face-to-face talks with Abramovich on his yacht this week.

Lampard is on holiday in France and he has scheduled a meeting with the Blues owner.

Liverpool should sign Wilfried Zaha this summer as the Crystal Palace star would fit in perfectly under Jurgen Klopp, John Aldridge claims.

“Maybe they [Liverpool] should look into the possibility of recruiting Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace, who is rumoured to have made it clear he wants to move on to play Champions League football,” Aldridge wrote for The Sunday World.

“Zaha has given Liverpool some real problems in the last couple of years and Klopp’s ability to turn talents of his type into consistent performers has to make him the kind of player who could thrive at Anfield.”

Liverpool are expected to have a quiet summer transfer window, with Klopp tipped to make a couple of signings.
