‘DISASTER for UK!’ Corbyn humiliated as YOU fear him as PM MORE than no deal Brexit

JEREMY CORBYN becoming Prime Minister strikes more fear into you than a potentially disastrous no deal Brexit, a shocking new Express.co.uk poll has revealed.

  • Brexit: Corbyn ‘knows he can’t win’ no-confidence vote says Bone

Jeremy Corbyn is desperately attempting to ramp up the pressure on Boris Johnson in his pursuit to become the next Prime Minister and delay Brexit beyond October 31. He plans to table a motion of no confidence in the Government at the “earliest opportunity when we can be confident of success”.

The Labour Party leader has written to opposition parties and Tory rebels who have so far strongly opposed Brexit and the possibility of Britain leaving the EU with no deal.

But his plot to wrestle the keys to 10 Downing Street has already hit the buffers, with huge opposition from the majority in the House of Commons he would need to be successful with his plan.

Now an exclusive poll from Express.co.uk has revealed the prospect of the Labour leader becoming Prime Minister strikes genuine fear into you.

The poll, which ran from 10am on Friday August 16 until 4pm on Saturday August 17, saw a huge 29,986 of you vote.

We asked “What do you fear more – a no deal Brexit or Jeremy Corbyn?”

A massive 85.7 percent (25,685 readers) said they were more terrified of Mr Corbyn becoming the country’s next Prime Minister.

Just 13.3 percent (3,999 readers) thought Britain leaving the EU on October 31 without an agreement in place was a worse prospect, while the remaining one percent (302 readers) voted ‘Don’t know’.

Readers participating in the Express.co.uk poll rounded on the Labour leader.

Boris Johnson has insisted the UK will leave the European Union on October 31

One furious reader said: “Corbyn would be a disaster for the UK.

“He would get us in huge debt mostly from social welfare, with massive inflation and high unemployment.”

A second angry voter wrote: “The way Corbyn has handled the party’s Brexit strategy illustrates his absolute incompetence.

“Most people have seen through him by now as a power grabbing opportunist.”

Another furious reader said: “No deal Brexit makes me happy. The thought of Corbyn makes me shudder!”

A fourth person said: “No deal Brexit, plus pricking my eyes with a pin, is better any day.

“The thought of Corbyn plus Abbott leading the country is making me incredibly ill.”

In a separate poll, Britons voted in favour of a no deal Brexit over a Government led by Mr Corbyn offering a second referendum on EU membership.

Is Jeremy Corbyn a Eurosceptic?

YouGov quizzed 1,968 British adults from August 15-16, with nearly half (48 percent) preferring to see the country leave the EU rather than the Labour leader impose his own approach to Brexit.

By contrast, just 35 percent said they were more in favour of Mr Corbyn seizing power in Downing Street and holding a second referendum, including an option to remain in the bloc.

The poll found nearly a quarter of Remain voters (23 percent) would prefer a no deal Brexit to a Labour Government under Mr Corbyn – even if he guaranteed a fresh vote.

Leave voters were also found to be more supportive of a no deal option (80 percent) than Remain voters were of the second referendum option (64 percent).

Boris Johnson's Government is coming under increasing pressure

Earlier this week, Express.co.uk readers savaged any chance of Mr Corbyn quickly unseating Mr Johnson as Prime Minister.

A separate poll, which ran from 12pm until 8pm on Thursday, August 15, asked: “Would you want Jeremy Corbyn to be Prime Minister?”

A huge 22,773 readers participated, with a massive 91.8 percent (20,915 people) voting “No, this would not be good”.

Just 8.2 percent (1,858 readers) voted “Yes, what a great idea”.
