First Fruits in the Eyes of God

First fruits, separated unto God

First fruits of God are His prime choice out of His creations – by declaration, dedication and sanctification until redeemed through appropriate sacrifice.

“And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying: “

“‘Sanctify unto Me all the first-born, whatsoever openeth the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and of beast, it is Mine.’ “- Exodus 13:1-2

“For all the first-born are Mine: on the day that I smote all the first-born in the land of Egypt I hallowed unto Me all the first-born in Israel, both man and beast, Mine they shall be: I am the LORD.’ ” – Numbers 3:13

“‘And I, behold, I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel instead of every first-born that openeth the womb among the children of Israel; and the Levites shall be Mine; ” – Numbers 3:12

“Thus shalt thou separate the Levites from among the children of Israel; and the Levites shall be Mine. ” – Numbers 8:14

“And after that shall the Levites go in to do the service of the tent of meeting; and thou shalt cleanse them, and offer them for a wave-offering. ” – Numbers 8:15

“For all the first-born among the children of Israel are Mine, both man and beast; on the day that I smote all the first-born in the land of Egypt I sanctified them for Myself. “

“And I have taken the Levites instead of all the first-born among the children of Israel. ” – Numbers 8:17 -18

My Humble Submission

The prime place of every first fruit; human, animal and fruits can not be overemphasized. The first fruits of human, animal and fruit are The Lord’s. His ‘tag’ is on them for a possession. They’re required of Him for service and consumption. And He sanctified them with the first-borns of the Egyptians.

This simply means that first fruits are God’s possession, dedicated to Him abnitio, by declaration. For any first fruits to be sufficiently denied God, it must happen through the process of redemption sacrifice, just as God sanctified his firstlings with the blood of the firstlings of Egypt on The Passover.

The First Fruits of God

There remains yet a first fruit of redemption for a ‘child of God’ as commemorated by feast of weeks, Shavout, popularly called pentecostal. This first fruit is God’s gift and impartation to human (man). It’s The Holy Spirit. That’s what the Feast of weeks, Shavout, Pentecost is all about. – to be continued.
