A five-storey building that houses several shops in popular Balogun Market, Lagos was on Tuesday gutted by fire.
The fire, eyewitnesses said, started on the fifth floor of the building at the Mandilas axis of the market.
Though the cause of the inferno could not be ascertained as of the time of filing this report, first responders are currently at the scene making frantic attempts to quench the fire.
