Optima Energy has become the latest petroleum marketer to join to lift petrol from Dangote Refinery.

This move further expands the distribution network for Dangote’s refined products and reinforces the refinery’s growing influence in gaining market share in Africa’s biggest oil-producing country.

Optima Energy joins established marketers like MRS, Ardova, and Heyden in securing direct access to petrol from the state-of-the-art Dangote Refinery.

This development signifies a strategic shift in the Nigerian downstream sector, as more companies opt to source their fuel from the newly operational refinery.

Directly sourcing petrol from Dangote Refinery provides marketers with a reliable and consistent fuel supply, reducing their dependence on imports and mitigating potential disruptions in the supply chain.

This ensures they can consistently meet customer demand and avoid disruptions to their operations.

Furthermore, the refinery’s competitive pricing structure, coupled with the emphasis on producing high-quality refined products, gives marketers a distinct advantage in the market. This allows them to offer competitive prices to consumers while ensuring better engine performance and environmental friendliness.

The advertised retail prices, as shown in a image provided by Dangote Refinery, indicate a regional pricing strategy, with Lagos enjoying the lowest price of N860 per liter, followed by the South-West at N870, the North at N880, and the South-South and South-East at N890. This pricing structure aims to cater to the diverse market dynamics across the country.

The addition of Ptima Energy to the list of marketers lifting from Dangote Refinery is expected to further enhance the availability of petrol across Nigeria.
