Apple iPhone 11 v Galaxy S10
Apple is back with its next iPhone 11 flagship smartphone and Samsung Galaxy S10 fans might want to cover their eyes.
The US technology firm is making bold claims about its latest smartphone which, along with a better camera and improved screen, includes a huge boost to the performance.
The new iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro both feature the latest and greatest A13 Bionic processor which Apple says is the fastest ever in a smartphone.
The A13 Bionic provides unparalleled performance and features up to 20 per cent faster CPU and GPU than the previous A12 brains.
A13 Bionic is also built for machine learning, with a faster Neural Engine for real-time photo and video analysis, and new Machine Learning Accelerators that allow the CPU to deliver more than 1 trillion operations per second.
This clearly makes the new iPhone 11 better than anything Apple has created before but it’s giving this new device the upper hand on its rivals.
During the firm’s keynote in Cupertino last week, a graphic was revealed on stage that showed just how much quicker these new brains will be with the iPhone 11 appearing to eclipse devices such as the S10, Pixel 3 and Huawei P30 Pro.
In fact, if the speeds are as good as Apple says, we could see some areas where the new iPhone is twice as fast as its Android rivals,
And it’s not just the power of this processor that could give the iPhone 11 an edge as Apple has also made things far more efficient.
This means the entry-level iPhone 11 gets around an extra hour of usage and the Pro and Pro Max get between four and five hours of power.
Apple iPhone 11 speed
If true, it could mean Apple’s smartphone now beats its Android rivals when it comes to battery life as well.
“iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max are the most powerful and advanced smartphones we have ever made. They are packed with sophisticated technology that pros can count on to get their work done, and for anyone who wants the very best device made, even if they are not a pro,” said Phil Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing.
“The A13 Bionic chip sets a new bar for smartphone performance and power efficiency.”
We’ll no doubt find out just how much faster things are when all of the usual speed comparisons appear online.
But, on paper, it currently seems that the fastest phone on the planet could be the new iPhone 11.
